The Ministry of Railways has said that the Northern Railway portion of the New Delhi-Mumbai section, excluding New Delhi Railway Station, has been fully covered under KAVACH.
The milestone was achieved yesterday with the successful commissioning of KAVACH 4.0 on the New Delhi Junction Cabin section of the Delhi-Palwal route of Northern Railway.
The implementation covers a section length of 21.6 route kilometres and 86 track kilometres. The Train Collision Avoidance System has been installed at four stations — Tughlakabad Railway Station, Okhla Railway Station, Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and Tilak Bridge Railway Station.
More than 1,200 RFID tags have been installed, while Kavach relay wiring and testing for 1,326 units have been completed.
