Department of School Education and Literacy Secretary Sanjay Kumar, has said that NCERT and CBSE have jointly introduced a new curriculum on computational thinking and Artificial Intelligence for students from classes 3 to 8. Speaking on the initiative, Mr Kumar said the curriculum has already been rolled out. He added that teachers will undergo training during the summer break, and the teaching of these subjects will begin once schools reopen after the vacation. He further informed that NCERT is also developing Artificial Intelligence textbooks for classes 9, 10, 11 and 12.
