Nationwide Screening of Chalo Jeete Hain to Mark PM Modi’s 75th Birthday

National Award-Winning film, Chalo Jeete Hain, is being screened nationwide today across lakhs of schools and nearly 500 cinema halls to mark the 75th Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is inspired by a childhood incident from the life of Prime Minister Modi. The film tells the story of a young boy, Naru, who is deeply influenced by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and strives to make a difference in his small world. More from our correspondent. 
 
Chalo Jeete Hain, released in 2018, was among the most-watched short films of that year.  Directed by Mangesh Hadawale and presented by Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain, the film received the National Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Values in 2019. Speaking to Akashvani News after attending a screening of Chalo Jeete Hai in New Delhi, Gaurav Siyal said that the heart-touching movie depicted the truth of Mr Modi’s life. He also added that he got highly inspired by the film. 
   
Another viewer, Nand Kishor, said that the film conveys the message that one should live with the goal of helping others and making sacrifices for others.
 
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has described the film as a cinematic tribute to the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Its special re-release commenced on the 17th of this month and will continue until the 2nd of October.
