To mark National Voters’ Day, a bicycle rally was organised in the Nashik district of Maharashtra today to spread awareness about the importance of voting. Chief Electoral Officer S. Chockalingam, District Collector Ayush Prasad, other dignitaries, and a large number of local cyclists participated in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chockalingam said several awareness initiatives are being implemented across the country to boost voter participation. He expressed confidence that these efforts would lead to a definite increase in voting percentage in the forthcoming elections.
Carrying messages such as ‘My India, My Vote’ and ‘Voting is a national duty’, cyclists urged citizens to actively participate in the democratic process.
