In Maharashtra, four people died, and two otherswere seriously injured in an accident that occurred today on the Malegaon-Manmad highway of Nashik district. More than 20 passengers sustained minor injuries. The accident took place around 3 a.m. near Varhane village in Malegaon taluka when a private travel bus en route to Malegaon from Pune collided head-on with an oncoming pickup vehicle.

The impact was so severe that the front portions of both vehicles were completely crushed. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
