In Mumbai, the state administration has made elaborate arrangements at Chaitya Bhoomi, Shivaji Park (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan), and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s residence ‘Rajgruha’ for the Mahaparinirvan Divas.
Over 8 thousand personnel have been deployed to manage arrangements, including waterproof shelters, dust control, sanitation, drinking water, security, and medical services. Tribute events at Chaitya Bhoomi will be shown on large screens and on BMC’s social media platforms.
A 1-lakh sq. ft. waterproof shelter with 10 LED screens has been arranged. Facilities include mobile toilets, bathing units, ambulances, and health check-up counters, supported by 585 medical staff.
Central Railway will run 15 unreserved special trains between December 4 and 8 to accommodate the heavy rush of passengers travelling to Mumbai to pay homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
