Punjab’s Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) has achieved a new milestone as its 50 cadets are currently undergoing training at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune. This is the largest strength of the institute in NDA since its inception in 2011. According to official sources, the under-training NDA cadet strength of the institute, set up at Mohali, is a close second to that of the prestigious Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC).

As of now, 278 cadets have joined Service Training Academies since its inception, and 181 have been commissioned as officers in the Defence Services. More would be passing out from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Air Force Academy (AFA) in the middle of this month.
