Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the journey of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago is about courage. Addressing an Indian community event in Trinidad and Tobago this morning, Mr Modi said their ancestors faced hardships with hope and carried Ramayana in their hearts. He said they were not just migrants but messengers of a timeless civilisation.
Prime Minister reached Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago for the second leg of his five-nation tour last night. In a special gesture, Prime Minister was received on his arrival at the airport in Port of Spain by Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago Kamla Persad-Bissessar along with members of her Cabinet and several other dignitaries. Prime Minister was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour and welcomed with special cultural performances.
This is his first visit to the country as Prime Minister and the first bilateral visit at the Prime Ministerial level to Trinidad and Tobago since 1999. During his two day visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with President of Trinidad and Tobago, Christine Carla Kangaloo, and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. Prime Minister will address a Joint Session of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. The visit will impart fresh impetus to the deep-rooted and historical ties between the two countries.

Information and Broadcasting Ministry has proposed amendments to the policy guidelines for Television Rating Agencies, originally issued in 2014. The proposed draft has removed some restrictive provisions for media houses to allow more players to democratise and modernise the television audience measurement ecosystem in the country. Currently, Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) is the only agency providing TV ratings. The proposed amendments aim to allow multiple agencies to foster healthy competition, bring in new technologies, and provide more reliable and representative data especially for connected TV platforms. The proposed reforms also aim to ensure that the TRP system reflects the diverse and evolving media consumption habits of viewers across the country. The Ministry has invited feedback from stakeholders and the general public within 30 days of the issuance of the draft.
Currently, India has approximately 230 million television households. However, only about 58 thousand people meters are presently used to capture viewership data, representing just 0.025 per cent of the total TV homes.

छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार आदिवासी बहुल सरगुजा और बस्तर क्षेत्रों में पांच हजार से अधिक मोबाइल टावर लगाने की योजना बना रही है। मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय ने अधिकारियों को खास तौर पर बस्तर और सरगुजा जैसे दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में मोबाइल टावर और फाइबर ऑप्टिक नेटवर्क लगाने में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिया। रायपुर में कल राज्य के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग की एक उच्च स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान ये निर्देश जारी किए गए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने डिजिटल परिवर्तन के लिए राज्य की प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की। श्री साय ने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के 'विकसित भारत 2047' रोडमैप के साथ जुड़े 'विकसित छत्तीसगढ़ 2047' के विजन का एक प्रमुख स्तंभ बताया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कुशल, पारदर्शी और सुलभ शासन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पूरे राज्य में डिजिटल बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि "ई-डिस्ट्रिक्ट 2.0 के तहत सरकार अपनी मौजूदा 85 ऑनलाइन सेवाओं का विस्तार करेगी और जल्द ही इसके तहत 250 ऑफ़लाइन सेवाएँ शामिल की जाएँगी। जिससे नागरिक को इन प्रमुख योजनाओं और सुविधाओं का लाभ घर बैठे ही मिल सकेगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को डिजिटल विश्वसनीयता बढ़ाने के लिए राज्य डेटा सेंटर को टियर-III मानकों पर अपग्रेड करने का भी निर्देश दिया।

The US Congress has passed President Donald Trump's sprawling tax and spending bill in a significant and hard-fought victory for the President and his domestic agenda. After a gruelling session on Capitol Hill, the House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 218 to 214 last night. It was approved in the Senate on Tuesday by one vote.
Trump had given the Republican-controlled Congress a deadline of 4th of July to send him a final version of the bill which he described as 'Big Beautiful Bill' to sign into law. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill could add 3.3 trillion US Dollars to federal deficits over the next 10 years and leave millions without health coverage - a forecast that the White House disputes. The legislation makes savings through making cuts to food benefits and health care and rolling back tax breaks for clean energy projects. Speaking to reporters, Trump said the bill would turn this country into a rocket ship. He is expected to sign it into law at a ceremony on the national holiday today.

The Air Intelligence Unit of Chennai Customs intercepted a passenger who had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, by Thai Airways flight. The officials suspected wildlife smuggling in the checked-in trolley bag and two pet bags were found concealed beneath chocolates and other food items. Further inspection revealed two live monkeys of different species, identified as an Agile Gibbon and an Eastern Grey Gibbon hidden inside the pet bags. The import of such wildlife without valid authorisation is prohibited under the Wildlife Act and the Customs Act. The animals were deported back to Thailand. The passenger has been arrested and has been remanded to judicial custody.

The inauguration of 393 Ashakirana Vision Centres in the state of Karnataka was held in Bengaluru yesterday. These eye testing centres will render service of free eye check-ups, cataract surgery services and distribution of spectacles for the needy. The project is to establish permanent vision centres in district hospitals, Taluk hospitals and community centres. There are 2,421 primary health centres across the state. The rural people will get service of this eye care project through these centres. This health project, with the financial assistance of Central Government is inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka D.K. Shivakumar during a function held in Govindaraja Nagar of Bengaluru city.

A convergence meeting regarding Operation Muskan-XI – 2025 was held in Hyderabad. The meeting focused on identification and rescue of children involved in child labour and bonded labour, tracing and rehabilitation of missing children, rescue and protection of trafficked children and children involved in street begging. About 28 Divisional Police Teams have been constituted across Hyderabad City. Each team is specially trained and sensitized for handling children in need of care and protection and tracing of missing children through Darpan App. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Women Safety Wing, reiterated the commitment of Hyderabad City Police towards child safety, prevention of exploitation and building a child-friendly ecosystem through inter-agency collaboration and community participation.

दिल्ली सरकार ने वायु गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन आयोग से आयु पूरी कर चुके वाहनों को ईँधन नहीं देने के फैसले पर रोक लगाने का अनुरोध किया है। दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने इस संबंध में आयोग को पत्र लिखा है। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के पर्यावरण को स्वच्छ करेगी और यहां के वाहनों को जब्त नहीं होने देगी। श्री सिरसा ने कहा कि दिल्ली सरकार ने आयोग को अवगत कराया है कि जो स्वचालित नंबर प्लेट पहचान कैमरे लगाए गए हैं, वह एक मजबूत प्रणाली नहीं हैं, और उनके साथ अभी भी कई चुनौतियां हैं।

दिल्ली पुलिस की एंटी नारकोटिक सेल की टीम ने अंतरराज्यीय अवैध हथियार तस्कर गिरोह का पर्दाफाश किया। पुलिस ने बताया कि गिरोह के चार तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है और दो नाबालिगों को अभिरक्षा में लिया गया है। पुलिस के अनुसार आरोपियों के पास से 13 देसी कट्टे, एक पिस्तौल, 18 जिंदा कारतूस और सप्लाई के लिए इस्तेमाल होने वाला दोपहिया वाहन बरामद किया गया है।

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने 2026 में होने वाली अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर की साइकिलिंग प्रतियोगिता- पुणे ग्रैंड चैलेंज टूर के लिए राज्य सरकार के समर्थन की घोषणा की। पुणे जिला प्रशासन और साइक्लिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (सीएफआई) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य पुणे को वैश्विक खेल और पर्यटन केंद्र के रूप में स्थापित करना है। सीएम फडणवीस, डिप्टी सीएम अजीत पवार, खेल मंत्री दत्तात्रेय भरणे की मौजूदगी में पुणे जिला कलेक्टर और सीएफआई के बीच राज्य विधानमंडल में इस आशय का एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। फडणवीस ने विश्वास जताया कि यह आयोजन अगले 3-4 वर्षों में विश्व स्तर पर मान्यता प्राप्त आयोजन बन जाएगा और 200 से अधिक देशों के साइकिलिंग प्रशंसकों को पुणे की संस्कृति, परिदृश्य और विरासत को दिखाने में मदद करेगा।

स्वामी विवेकानंद - पुण्य तिथि - 4 जुलाई 1902
भारत की संस्कृति की प्राचीनता विश्व में सबसे अधिक है। प्राचीन काल से आधुनिक काल तक अनेकों महापुरूषों और मनीषियों ने भारतीय संस्कृति को संवर्धित करने में योगदान दिया है। आज हम एक एैसे ही महापुरूष, मनीषी और तत्व वेत्ता का स्मरण कर रहे हैं जिन्होंने भारत के धर्म ज्ञान और दर्शन को संबल दिया। वह महापुरूष हैं युवाओं के आदर्श स्वामी विवेकानंद जी।
वेदान्त और अध्यात्म के शिखर पुरूष स्वामी विवेकानंद की आज पुण्य तिथि है। एक देशभक्त और सन्यासी विवेकानंद का जन्म 12 जनवरी 1863 को हुआ था और उनके जन्मदिन को राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
स्वामी रामकृष्ण परमहंस के सुयोग्य शिष्य स्वामी विवेकानंद का वास्तविक नाम नरेन्द्र नाथ दत्त था। स्वामी विवेकानन्द ने पूरे भारत का भ्रमण कर यहां की स्थितियों को गहराई से समझा। अमेरिका के शिकागो में 1893 में विश्व धर्म महासभा में भारत की ओर से सनातन धर्म का प्रतिनिधित्व पूरे विश्व को भारतीय दर्शन से परिचित कराया। मंच पर उन्हें 2 मिनट का समय दिया गया था। लेकिन उन्होंने अपने संबोधन के आरंभ में जैसे ही कहा “मेरे अमेरिकी बहनों एवं भाइयों- तो उनके इन शब्दों ने सबका दिल जीत लिया। सभी भारतीय संस्कृति के सामने नतमस्तक हो गए। इसके बाद भारत का आध्यात्मिकता से परिपूर्ण वेदान्त दर्शन अमेरिका और यूरोप के देशों के साथ साथ पूरी दुनिया में छा गया।
बाद में स्वामी विवेकानंद ने रामकृष्ण मिशन की स्थापना की, जो आज भी समस्त मानवता के उत्थान के लिए निरंतर प्रयत्नशील है।
भारत के उत्कर्ष के स्वप्नद्रष्टा महान दार्शनिक स्वामी विवेकानंद 4 जुलाई 1902 को देहावसान हो गया।

He played a crucial role in the Hindu revivalist movement and contributed significantly to the rise and development of Indian nationalism in colonial India. Celebrated as a patriotic saint, his birth anniversary is observed in India as National Youth Day.

Maria Salomea Skłodowska-Curie::(7 November 1867 – 4 July 1934), known simply as Marie Curie was a Polish and naturalised-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity.
She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person to win a Nobel Prize twice, and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two scientific fields.
She was born in Warsaw, in what was then the Kingdom of Poland, part of the Russian Empire. She studied at Warsaw's clandestine Flying University and began her practical scientific training in Warsaw. Marie won the 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her discovery of the elements polonium and radium, using techniques she invented for isolating radioactive isotopes.
Under her direction, the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms by the use of radioactive isotopes. She founded the Curie Institute in Paris in 1920, and the Curie Institute in Warsaw in 1932; both remain major medical research centres.

अम्मू स्वामीनाथन - पुण्य तिथि -4 जुलाई 1978 :: 'संविधान सभा की महिला सदस्यों में शामिल अम्मू स्वामीनाथन की आज पुण्य तिथि है। अम्मू स्वामीनाथन उन 15 महिलाओं में शामिल थी जिन्हेंने महिलाओं के मुद्दों पर मंथन में अहम भूमिका अदा की। अम्मू स्वामीनाथन का जन्म 1894 में केरल में हुआ था। भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन में 1942 में वह गिरफ्तार की गईं। 1946 में मद्रास से संविधान सभा के लिए उन्हें चुना गया। स्वतंत्रता के बाद वह 1952 में प्रथम लोकसभा के लिए और उसके बाद 1954 में राज्य सभा के लिए चुनी गईं। उन्होंने 1960 से 1965 के बीच भारत स्काउट्स और गाइड्स के अध्यक्ष के रूप में भी कार्य किया। और रूस, चीन और अमेरिका जैसे देशों में भारत के सद्भावना राजदूत के रूप में कार्य किया। जातिगत मानदंडों का उल्लंघन, महिला अधिकारों की प्रबल समर्थक तथा उत्तराधिकार, विरासत और विवाह से संबंधित कानूनों और विधेयकों में सुधार का आह्वान किया। महिलाओं के आर्थिक अधिकारों और मताधिकार के लिए लड़ने हेतु 1917 में एनी बेसेंट के साथ मिलकर महिला भारतीय संघ (WIA) की स्थापना की। निधन - 1978.

दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन (4 जुलाई, 1912; मृत्यु- 20 जुलाई, 1978) भारतीय संविधान को बनाने में सहयोग देने वाली महिलाओं में से एक थीं। भारत के संविधान को मूल रूप देने वाली समिति में 15 महिलाएं भी शामिल थीं। इन्होंने संविधान के साथ भारतीय समाज के निर्माण में भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन इन्हीं में से एक थीं।

दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन - जयंती :: संविधान सभा के लिए चुनी गयी पहली और एकमात्र दलित महिला दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन की आज जयंती है। आपका जन्म 4 जुलाई, 1912 को कोचीन में बोल्गाटी द्वीप पर हुआ था। वह शोषित वर्गों की नेता थीं। साल 1945 में दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन को कोचीन विधान परिषद में राज्य सरकार द्वारा नामित किया गया था। 1946 में 32 वर्षीय दक्षिणानी वेलायुधन संविधान सभा की सबसे युवा सदस्य थीं। संविधान सभा की पहली बैठक में उन्होंने कहा था, "संविधान का कार्य इस बात पर निर्भर करेगा कि लोग भविष्य में किस तरह का जीवन जियेंगे। मैं आशा करती हूं कि समय के साथ ऐसा कोई समुदाय इस देश में न बचे जिसे अछूत कहकर पुकारा जाये"।

धनसिंह गुर्जर - पुण्य तिथि :: भारतीय स्वतंत्रता सेनानी धनसिंह गुर्जर की आज पुण्य तिथि है। मेरठ क्रान्ति का प्रारम्भ 10 मई, 1857 को हुआ था। उस दिन मेरठ में धन सिंह के नेतृत्व मे विद्रोही सैनिकों और पुलिस फोर्स ने अंग्रेजों के विरूद्ध क्रान्तिकारी घटनाओं को अंजाम दिया। धन सिंह कोतवाल, जनता के सम्पर्क में थे। उनका संदेश मिलते ही हजारों की संख्या में क्रान्तिकारी रात में मेरठ पहुंच गये। रात में ही विद्रोही सैनिक दिल्ली कूच कर गए और विद्रोह मेरठ के देहात में भी फैल गया। इस क्रान्ति के पश्चात् ब्रिटिश सरकार ने धन सिंह को मुख्य रूप से दोषी ठहराया। इसके बाद घन सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर मेरठ के एक चौराहे पर फाँसी पर लटका दिया गया।

भरत व्यास - पुण्य तिथि :: हिंदी फिल्मों में एक ऐसा युग भी रहा, जब धार्मिक फिल्मों का बोलबाला था। उस समय के फिल्मी गीत भी किसी भजन से कम नहीं होते थे। इन गीतों के लोकप्रिय गीतकारों में अग्रणी गीतकार थे- पं भरत व्यास। पंडित भरत व्यास का जन्म 6 जनवरी, 1918 को राजस्थान के बीकानेर में हुआ था। बीकानेर से इंटर करने के बाद वे कोलकाता चले गए। बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी भरत व्यास अच्छे अभिनेता और संवेदनशील कवि भी थे। 1942 में किस्मत आजमाने के लिए भरत व्यास सपनों की नगरी मुंबई पहुंच गए। वहां उन्होंने कुछ फ़िल्मों में अभिनय भी किया लेकिन प्रसिद्धि उन्हें मिली उनके गीतों के माध्यम से। भरत व्यास को सबसे पहले बी. एम. व्यास के निर्देशन में 1943 में बनी फिल्म दुहाई के गीत लिखने का मौका मिला। इसके बाद उन्होंने कभी पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। वे फिल्मी दुनिया के प्रसिद्ध गीतकार बन गए। सारंगा, संत ज्ञानेश्वर, तूफ़ान और दिया, रानी रूपमती, गूंज उठी शहनाई, नवरंग, बूँद जो बन गई मोती, पूर्णिमा और दो आँखे बारह हाथ जैसी फ़िल्मों के गीतों ने भरत व्यास को सफलता की बुलंदियों तक पहुॅचा दिया।
