इस मुद्दे पर सीसीएस की यह दूसरी विशेष बैठक थी। बैठक के दौरान, प्रधानमंत्री ने आम आदमी के लिये आवश्यक वस्तुओं की उपलब्धता का आकलन किया। उन्होंने देश में खरीफ तथा रबी फसलों के दौरान उर्वरकों की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उठाए जा रहे कदमों पर भी चर्चा की। प्रधानमंत्री ने यह भी निर्देश दिया कि चल रहे संघर्ष के प्रभाव से नागरिकों को बचाने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किए जाएं।
सरकार ने बताया कि आवश्यक वस्तु अधिनियम के अंतर्गत कीमतों पर राज्य और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के साथ निरंतर निगरानी और संवाद के लिए नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित किए गए हैं। कृषि उत्पादों, सब्जियों और फलों की कीमतों की भी निगरानी की जा रही है।

The Department of Personnel and Training, Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat will collectively organise a week-long Sadhna Saptah starting today in New Delhi. It aims to build the capacity, performance and efficiency of civil servants across the country. Employees and officers from all levels of Union Ministries, departments, organizations, and states will participate in the week-long exercise, both on the iGOT platform and through other means. Chairperson of Capacity Building Commission S. Radha Chauhan has said that the whole effort during the Saptah will be to see how capacity building aligns itself with realizing the objectives of Viksit Bharat. Highlighting on the iGOT platform, the Chairperson said that iGOT is an end-to-end platform for capacity building that offers behavioral, functional, and domain-related courses based on specific demands.

The Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) in New Delhi has opened a rare and insightful exhibition titled “The Archives of PMML”, offering the public a glimpse into some of the significant documents of India’s modern history. For the first time, PMML has put on display a curated selection from its vast archival collections. Highlights include Mahatma Gandhi’s letter to Bapsybanoo Pavry on spiritual unity (1932), the handwritten draft of “Tryst with Destiny” by Jawaharlal Nehru (1947), and Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s correspondence with Jayaprakash Narayan and N. M. Ghatate during the Emergency (1975-76). Visitors can also see a 2012 letter from Manmohan Singh to Anna Hazare. PMML has said that this archive is the only one of its kind in the country, with more than 25 million documents spanning over 1,300 individual and institutional collections, making it a vital resource for researchers and historians.
Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Executive Council, PMML has inaugurated the exhibition. It will remain open to the public until 14 April 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Nasa’s first crewed mission around the Moon in more that 50 years – Artemis II – has taken off. The Space Launch System rocket lifted off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, US at around 3:54 AM Indian Time today.
“The crew on the 10-day Artemis II mission will not land on the Moon, but plan to circle it, while travelling further from Earth than anyone has ever been before. They will do it all in a capsule the size of a minibus. Four astronauts – Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen are taking part in the mission. Unlike the Apollo missions between 1968 and 1972, which sent only men to the Moon, Artemis II reflects greater diversity with a woman and a non-American astronaut on board.During the nearly 10-day mission, astronauts will test life-support, navigation, and other systems in deep space, evaluate spacecraft performance, practise emergency procedures, and capture images of the Moon’s far side.If successful, Artemis II is the first mission to send astronauts toward the Moon since Apollo 17 in 1972. The mission aims to test systems for future crewed lunar landings and will conclude with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.Ahead of the launch, US President Donald Trump said America is winning in space and added that the mission will take astronauts farther into deep space than ever before. दिल्ली यातयात पुलिस ने बताया कि हनुमान जन्मोत्सव के अवसर पर आज कश्मीरी गेट स्थित मरघट वाले हनुमान मंदिर के आसपास यातायात आवाजाही प्रभावित रहेगी। यातायात पुलिस ने सूचित किया कि इस क्षेत्र में आज पूरे दिन यातायात पर असर पड़ने की संभावना है। यातायात पुलिस ने कहा कि इस दौरान रेल छत्ता चौक, सुभाष कट, जीपीओ चौक, केला घाट, आयरन ब्रिज, बुलेवार्ड रोड-लोथियन रोड, टी-प्वाइंट और मंकी ब्रिज के पास आवश्यकता पड़ने पर डायवर्जन भी लागू किए जा सकते हैं। यात्रियों को प्रभावित मार्गों से बचने, पहले से यात्रा की योजना बनाने और विशेष रूप से आईएसबीटी तथा पुरानी दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन जाने वाले वैकल्पिक मार्ग अपनाने कि सलाह दी गई है। साथ ही, मेट्रो और बस जैसे सार्वजनिक परिवहन का उपयोग करने की अपील भी की गई है।

Southern Railway will operate special trains between Tambaram and Tenkasi/Sengottai to manage the expected surge in passenger traffic during this weekend. Tambaram-Tenkasi Superfast Special will depart Tambaram at 11.10 PM on 2nd of April and will reach Tenkasi at 11 AM the following day. In the return direction, Sengottai-Tambaram Superfast Special will leave Sengottai at 11 PM on 5th of April and will arrive at Tambaram at 10:45 AM the next day.

The ongoing West Asia conflict has severely disrupted air travel, with over 1,300 flights cancelled at Kempegowda International Airport and Mangaluru International Airport since 28th of February.
According to the Bangalore International Airport Limited, 891 flights were cancelled in Bengaluru, impacting key Middle East routes, while Mangaluru saw 444 cancellations, mainly affecting services by IndiGo and Air India Express. The disruption, triggered by the conflict, is expected to impact international passenger traffic, with only limited flights now operating to selected destinations like Jeddah and Abu Dhabi.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी-सीईओ कार्यालय ने बूथ युक्तिकरण के बाद मतदान केंद्रों की संख्या में हुई उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि के कारण चुनाव आयोग से केंद्रीय बलों की अतिरिक्त 125 कंपनियों की औपचारिक रूप से मांग की है। राज्य में पहले 80 हजार 719 बूथ थे, लेकिन हाल ही में जारी एक निर्देश के अनुसार प्रत्येक बूथ पर अधिकतम एक हजार 200 मतदाता ही मतदान कर सकते हैं, जिसके चलते 4 हजार 660 नए मतदान केंद्र बनाने की आवश्यकता पड़ी है।
इसके चलते सुरक्षा तैनाती योजना में संशोधन करना आवश्यक है। हालांकि प्रारंभिक रणनीति में विधानसभा चुनावों के पहले और दूसरे चरण के लिए केंद्रीय बलों की दो हजार 400 कंपनियों की तैनाती निर्धारित थी, लेकिन बूथों की संख्या में वृद्धि के कारण सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अतिरिक्त कर्मियों की आवश्यकता उत्पन्न हो गई है। सीईओ कार्यालय ने इस अद्यतन सुरक्षा मांग को पूरा करने के लिए आयोग को एक आधिकारिक आवेदन प्रस्तुत किया है।

आज जयंती है – हरींद्रनाथ चट्टोपाध्याय की। उनका जन्म 2 अप्रैल 1898 को हैदराबाद, ब्रिटिश भारत में हुआ था। (23 जून 1990) वे एक बहुमुखी प्रतिभा के धनी थे। वे अंग्रेजी कवि, नाटककार, अभिनेता, संगीतकार और सांसद (विजयवाड़ा, प्रथम लोकसभा) के रूप में प्रसिद्ध थे। वे सरोजिनी नायडू के छोटे भाई, उन्होंने ‘द मैजिक ट्री’ जैसी रचनाएँ कीं। उन्हें 1973 में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था। ‘उनकी मुख्य फिल्में तेरे घर के सामने’, बावर्ची, आशीर्वाद, सत्यजीत रॉय की फिल्म सोनार केल्ला और गूपी गायन बाघा बायेन आदि हैं। उन्होंने अशोक कुमार अभिनीत फिल्म आशीर्वाद के लोकप्रिय गीत रेलगाड़ी-रेलगाड़ी लिखा था।
