Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that everyone involved in Delhi blast incident will face the full wrath of investigating agencies. The Home Minister today chaired high-level security review meetings with senior officials in New Delhi to assess the situation following the car blast near the Red Fort in the national capital last evening. He instructed the officials to hunt down each and every culprit behind Delhi blast incident. The first meeting was attended by the Union Home Secretary, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Delhi Police Commissioner, and Director General of the National Investigation Agency. The Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir joined the meeting virtually. The second meeting was attended by Union Home Secretary, Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Director General of the National Investigation Agency, Director General of the National Security Guards (NSG), Director Forensic Science Services, Chief Director of Forensic Science Laboratory, Delhi and other senior officials.

Meanwhile, Home Ministry has handed over probe into the incident to National Investigation Agency (NIA). The sources said that Mr Shah also instructed the Forensic Science Laboratory to match and investigate the sample specimens collected from the blast spot and come up with the details of the blast at the earliest. The sources added that the agency was also instructed to match the samples collected from the bodies in the car that exploded. The NIA was instructed to investigate and submit a report on the matter at the earliest.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has infromed that Lal Qila Metro Station will remain closed due to security reasons. It said that all other stations are functional as normal. The Red Fort will also remain shut for visitors till Thursday.

A blast in a car near Red Fort in Delhi yesterday killed eight people and injured several others.
