The Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, Rajesh Kumar has directed that meticulous planning be done to ensure the safety and smooth management of devotees during the forthcoming Kumbh Mela at Trimbakeshwar in Nashik.
Mr Kumar, who is on a two-day tour of Nashik district reviewed the ongoing development works at Trimbakeshwar today.
He emphasized the need to establish separate routes for the entry and exit of devotees to ensure proper crowd management. He also instructed officials to make available all essential facilities for seers, mahants, and devotees well in advance.
The Chief Secretary further directed that all works related to the Kumbh Mela such as the strengthening of approach roads, parking spaces, construction of ghats and adequate health and disaster management facilities be commenced on time and completed at the earliest.
