On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Maharashtra Public Health Department is launching a statewide HPV vaccination campaign for girls who have completed 14 years of age but have not completed 15 years, for the prevention of cervical cancer across the state on March 8 for women’s empowerment and health protection.
Under this campaign, the Health Department has set a target of administering HPV vaccine to 9 lakh 84 thousand girls in the state in three months.
Registration of all beneficiaries for HPV vaccination and distribution of certificates will be done completely digitally through the Central Government’s ‘U-WIN’ portal.
