The Maharashtra government has cancelled the leave of all senior officials, particularly those in the health and disaster management departments, to ensure full administrative readiness across the state. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis conducted a comprehensive review of the state’s security and preparedness. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and other senior state officials. During the meeting, Mr Fadnavis issued several directives to enhance the state’s emergency response capabilities. These include the execution of mock drills in every district, the implementation of coordination systems with hospitals during blackouts, the maintenance of essential services through alternative power sources, and the enforcement of strict blackout protocols to ensure no external light visibility.
