Maharashtra Foundation Day: Governor leads flag hoisting ceremony, CM Fadnavis honours martyrs

On the occasion of the 66th Maharashtra State Foundation Day, Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan unfurled the National Tricolour today at the official state function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park in Mumbai. The Governor inspected the ceremonial parade and accepted a salute from the marching contingents.

 

In his address, Governor Radhakrishnan stated that Maharashtra continues to lead across all sectors. Commending the Maha Yuti government, he affirmed that the government is committed to building an inclusive, progressive, and developed Maharashtra by ensuring the participation of all sections of society.

 

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council Prof Ram Shinde, Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar, State Ministers, Consuls of various countries in Mumbai, senior officers of the Armed Forces, Civil, Police and Fire Services and citizens were present at the function.

 

Chief Minister Fadnavis unfurled the national flag at the official CM residence, ‘Varsha’. He also paid homage to the martyrs of the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement at Hutatma Chowk in Mumbai, honouring those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for a united Maharashtra. The Chief Minister reiterated that his government is dedicated to the development of the State and to ensuring that progress reaches every individual.
