Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has hailed the recent India-US trade deal as historic and a victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. In a social media post, Mr Fadnavis stated that this is a historic moment for world trade as well, as India will receive priority tariff rates from the USA among the major global exporters.

He added that this marks the beginning of a new era in India-US friendship. Mr Fadnavis also expressed confidence that the deal will open numerous new opportunities for the Indian business community and benefit both countries. He added that as Maharashtra is at the forefront of exports, the deal will open new horizons for the state and bring investment in sectors including data centres, artificial intelligence and modern technologies in Maharashtra.
