In Badminton, India made a strong start at the Macau Open tournament with several impressive performances across categories. In men’s doubles, star duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty sailed into the second round with a commanding 21-13, 21-15 win over Malaysia’s Low Hang Yee and Ng Eng Cheong.
In women’s singles, Anmol Kharb and Tasnim Mir progressed to the main draw after winning their qualifiers. Anmol defeated Azerbaijan’s Keisha Fatimah Azzahra 21-11, 21-13, while Tasnim overcame Thailand’s Tidapron Kleebyeesun 21-14, 13-21, 21-17.
In men’s doubles qualifying, Dingku Singh Konthoujam and Amaan Mohammad impressed with a 21-18, 21-17 win over a Hong Kong pair to secure a spot in the main draw. India also saw success in mixed doubles, as T. Hemanagendra Babu and Priya Konjengbam entered the main draw.
