General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, today presented gallantry awards to soldiers and units for their unwavering commitment and bravery in safeguarding the nation.
Addressing the Western Command Investiture Ceremony in New Delhi, Lieutenant General Katiyar said that recent operational achievements, including Operation Sindoor, demonstrated the preparedness and professional excellence of Western Command. During the event, he also congratulated the awardees and said their courage and dedication serve as a source of inspiration for the entire Indian Army.
Highlighting the changing nature of warfare, Lieutenant Manoj emphasised the importance of maintaining high operational readiness and strengthening modern warfare capabilities, particularly through the use of advanced technology and drones. He added that technology will play a decisive role in future conflicts.
Lieutenant General Katiyar said unity in diversity remains the core strength of the Indian Army and reaffirmed the commitment of all ranks to serve the nation with dedication and valour.
