In view of the seasonal and Wintery Conditions, the 428 Km long Leh-Manali National Highway (NH-03)  is officially closed for all kinds of vehicular movement with effect from today. It will open for traffic by next year after the clearance of snow from all four passes en route to the Leh-Manali Highway. 

 

 

The decision of closure of this highway in an order is shared through a public notice by the Ladakh Police, advising the public and commuters to avoid this route. 

 

 

Leh-Manali National Highway is the second highway for connectivity for the Ladakh Union Territory, which connects Leh with Manali of Himachal Pradesh. 

 

 

This year, the highway remained open for slightly longer durations as it usually closed for traffic from the third week of November every year.
