In Swiss Open Badminton 2026, India’s Kiran George will take on Hong Kong’s Jason Gunawan in the Men’s Singles pre-quarterfinal tonight. Kiran defeated former world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore 23-21, 21-19 last night. On the other hand, Hong Kong’s Jason Gunawan ended the campaign of former world no. 1 Kidambi Srikanth, who lost 21-15, 12-21, and 4-21 in a round of 32 match.

 

Indian mixed doubles pair of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto also notched up an upset win over fourth seed Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund of Denmark 21-15, 21-14 in their opening match. The duo will face China’s Gao Jia Xuan and Wu Meng Ying tonight.

 

In women’s single, Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong defeated Malvika Bansod  by 21-11 and 21-15 . Earlier, Tanvi Sharma and Unnati Hooda suffered loss in thier respctive round 32 matches yesterday.
