The southwest monsoon is likely to set in over Keralam on 26th May with a model error of (Plus-Minus) four days. The normal date for Southwest monsoon arrival over Kerala is 1st June. India Meteorological Department has said that the conditions are favourable for the advance of southwest monsoon over parts of south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 24 hours. Kerala is always the first state to receive the southwest monsoon.
