The deadline for filing nominations for Keralam assembly elections will end tomorrow. Candidates in all 140 constituencies are busy filing their nomination papers and carrying out campaign activities. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place the day after tomorrow. Polling will be held on April 9, and the counting of votes will take place on May 4.
Meanwhile, election campaigning has intensified across the state. Candidates are actively meeting voters in person. Campaigns are progressing under the leadership of senior leaders from all political parties.
For the LDF, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will begin a statewide tour from tomorrow. He will address meetings at 48 centres until April 3rd. CPI(M) leaders, including M. A. Baby, M. V. Govindan, A. Vijayaraghavan, Prakash Karat, and Brinda Karat, will also speak at public meetings in various places.
For the UDF, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Kerala for campaigning. His campaign will begin with a rally in Kozhikode on the 25th of this month.
For NDA, senior national leaders including Union ministers will visit the state in the coming days as part of their campaign activities.
Meanwhile, the request for adding new names in the voter list can be made until tomorrow in the state.
