The judicial commission set up to probe the reasons behind the Maha Kumbh incident today visited Sangam Ghat to investigate the cause and circumstances of the incident. On Wednesday, the incident claimed 30 lives and 60 were injured in Maha Kumbh. Our correspondent reports that the judicial commission was set up by the Uttar Pradesh government to find the reasons behind the incident.
The three-member judicial commission headed by retired Judge of Allahabad High Court Harsh Kumar today visited the incident spot at Sangam Nose. During the visit, DIG Prayagraj Vaibhav Krishna briefed them about the incident. The Commission also held a meeting with the officials involved in the arrangements and management of the world’s largest spiritual gathering. They also visited Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, where the injured are admitted. The commission will submit its report within one month. They will also recommend measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
