The meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on One Nation One Election legislation was held under the Chairmanship of BJP MP P P Chaudhary in New Delhi yesterday. The Committee is examining the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024 and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024. First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Gita Gopinath and Member, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Sanjeev Sanyal, also participated in the meeting and shared their views in this regard.
