In Jammu and Kashmir the scrutiny of nomination papers for the upcoming Assembly by-elections in 77-Nagrota and 27-Budgam constituencies was completed today. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that according to the Returning Officers of both the constituencies, only 10 nominations were found valid in Nagrota constituency whereas 17 from Budgam seat during the scrutiny process.

 

 

A total of 33 candidates had filed nominations-13 for the Nagrota seat and 20 for the Budgam seat. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 24. The polling for both assembly constituencies will take place on November 11, while counting of votes is scheduled for November 14.
