Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh today called upon society to contribute to the field of science and technology. He inaugurated the fabrication and central facilities under the National Quantum Mission, with a total outlay of 720 crore rupees, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Addressing the occasion, Dr Singh stated that India is one of the very first countries in the world to have a National Quantum Mission.
He expressed confidence that the four thematic hubs established under the Mission will bring about breakthrough technologies in the field of quantum technology and urged stakeholders to take advantage of the same. He praised young start-ups for coming up with excellent ideas and underlined the importance of democratising science and technology.
