India’s flagship global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026 will be held in New Delhi from 14th to 17th July this year. Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Neelam Shami Rao today launched the Bharat Tex Mobile App in line with the upcoming textile expo. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Rao said that the Mobile App will help buyers and exhibitors find relevant products, suppliers and stall locations through AI-enabled search. She also said the app is a unified digital companion for exhibitors, buyers, delegates and partners at India’s largest global textile event. The Textile Secretary added that the app is designed to identify the interests of buyers and automatically link them with relevant suppliers, enabling better networking and business engagement during Bharat Tex events. Talking about the expo, Ms Rao said that the event will highlight India’s growing textile strength, sustainability efforts, recycling capabilities and the use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence. More than 72 countries had already registered for the expo. A dedicated AI Zone will be set up during the expo technology for manufacturers.
