India’s Coal Production Rises 3.63% in April 2025, Hits 81.57 MT

Coal production in the country has seen a growth of 3.63 percent in the month of April this year compared to last year. In a statement, the Ministry of Coal has said that this growth reflects the continued efforts of the government to ensure consistent supply and operational stability in the sector.

 

The ministry said that the overall coal production in the country during April 2025 reached 81.57 metric tonnes, marking an increase over the 78.71 metric tonnes produced in the corresponding period of the previous year. The ministry stated that total coal dispatch during April 2025 reached 86.64 metric tonnes, demonstrating a steady increase from 85.11 metric tonnes recorded during April 2024 in Financial Year 2025-26.
