Indian Silk Delegation Concludes Five-Day Visit to Georgia to Boost Textile Cooperation

A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Textiles concluded its multi-sectoral engagement with Georgia recently. The Ministry of Textiles said that the five-day visit, which concluded on Friday, aimed at strengthening cooperation in sericulture, textiles, apparel, and carpet trade.  The delegation led by Member Secretary, Central Silk Board and Secretary General of International Sericultural Commission, P. Sivakumar, participated in the 11th Black, Caspian Seas and Central Asia Silk Association International Conference.
 
 
The delegation engaged with Georgian institutions while emphasizing opportunities for enhancing bilateral textile trade, promoting industry collaborations, and exploring joint research in sericulture. The meetings focused on identifying new areas of cooperation, improving market access, and expanding trade in textiles, apparel, carpets, and value-added silk products between the two countries.
