Indian Coast Guard Ship Vigraha on operational three-day visit to Jakarta, Indonesia

Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Vigraha is undertaking an operational three day visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, as part of its Overseas Deployment to ASEAN countries. During the visit, personnel of the ICG and Indonesian Maritime Security Agency – BAKAMLA will participate in an extensive programme of activities, including professional interactions, tabletop exercises, shipboard drills, and joint training sessions.

 

The ICGS highlighted that the port call reaffirms India’s commitment to enhancing maritime cooperation with regional partners in line with the Act East Policy, SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region), and the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI). The current visit also includes courtesy calls, ship visits, yoga and sports activities, and professional exchanges at maritime training establishments.

 

Upon completion of the Jakarta leg, ICGS Vigraha will sail to Port Klang, Malaysia, continuing its operational deployment to ASEAN countries.
