Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said that as a defence minister, it is his responsibility to work with the armed forces and give a befitting reply to those who cast an evil eye on India. The defence minister said this while addressing the Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav in New Delhi. Mr Singh added that as a defence minister, it is also his responsibility to ensure the security of the country’s borders along with the soldiers. Mr Singh said that whatever the people of the country desire will happen under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The defence minister said that now the whole world recognises India and listens to what it says on the global platform. He said India, which earlier was at 11th position in the economy, has now become the 5th largest economy in the world. He expressed hope that by 2027, India will become the 3rd largest economy in the world. He said that to become a developed nation, India should not only grow economically, but it should also be empowered spiritually and culturally.
