India remains engaged with US for mutually beneficial trade agreement: Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal

Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal today said that India remains engaged with the U.S. for a mutually beneficial trade agreement. In a social media post, Mr Agrawal stated that following the U.S. Supreme Court’s judgement invalidating reciprocal tariffs, the reciprocal tariffs are no longer in force. He also informed that the U.S. Government has issued executive orders imposing 10% tariffs on certain products from all countries. 
 
Earlier, India and the US had announced a trade deal on 2nd February, and a Joint Statement was released on 7th February.
