India Post has invited school students to participate in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) International Letter Writing Competition 2026. The theme this year is Write a letter to a friend about why human connection matters in a digital world.

The Ministry of Communications informed that Students aged nine to fifteen years can submit handwritten letters in English or any Eighth Schedule language. It added that Schools will forward selected entries to Postal Circles by 20th March. Meanwhile, the winners will be awarded at the circle and National levels, with the best entry representing India internationally.
