India marked a significant milestone on the global skills stage by securing 8th rank in its first-ever participation at the World Skills Asia Competition 2025, competing against 29 nations.
In the competition, India won one Silver, two Bronze medals and three Medallions for Excellence in both traditional and tech-driven skill categories.
On the achievement of Indian players, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary said that India’s performance at the competition reflects the confidence, creativity, and discipline of the country’s young talent.
He added that every medal and every recognition earned is a testament to the hard work of Indian competitors, dedication of their trainers, and the growing strength of India’s skills ecosystem. Mr Chaudhary congratulated the winners and participants for making India proud.
Over 500 competitors participated across 44 skill categories in the third edition of the continental competition.
The competition provided participants with valuable opportunities to promote local education, economy, tourism and international exchanges.
