India and China hold SCO bilateral consultations in New Delhi, agree to strengthen cooperation

India and China held Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Bilateral Consultations in New Delhi. India’s delegation was led by SCO National Coordinator Ambassador Alok A Dimri, and China’s delegation was led by National Coordinator Ambassador Yan Wenbin.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the implementation of SCO Leaders’ Decisions and the future course of the organisation.

The External Affairs Ministry said that both sides agreed to continue and consolidate mutual cooperation and consultations in SCO matters. The Ministry said that both delegations jointly called on Secretary (West) Sibi George to review cooperation within the SCO framework, including in the areas of security, trade, connectivity, and people-to-people ties.
