The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for heavy rainfall, snowfall and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan today. The weather agency has forecast cold wave conditions over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next two days.

Meanwhile, conditions of thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely to prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Madhya Pradesh for the day. IMD has predicted squally weather likely to prevail over the Gulf of Mannar, Comorin area, along and off the south Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coasts today.
