The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds over East and Central India till 6th May. Rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms or dust storms is likely to continue over northwest India till 7th May.
Scattered to fairly widespread light or moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty wind speeds reaching 40 to 50 km/h gusting to 60 km/h is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim till tomorrow and over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh till the 5th of May. In Northwest India, scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till the 6th of May.
In Northeast India, the Met department has forecast fairly widespread to widespread light and moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds during the next seven days.
