IMD Forecasts Rain in South India; Temperature Dip Expected in North, Delhi Air Quality Remains Poor

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers over Tamil Nadu till 8th of this month. The IMD said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places over Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal tomorrow. The weather department has also forecast a fall in minimum temperatures by 3-5 degrees Celsius over Northwest and central parts of the country for the next three days.
 
 
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of around 23 degrees Celsius today. The air quality in the National Capital Region remained in the poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, an average Air Quality Index – AQI of 202 was recorded at 4 PM today.
