The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions over Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha today. The weather agency has also predicted hot and humid weather conditions over Konkan and Goa during the day. According to the IMD, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall conditions today.

The Met Department estimated similar conditions over Kerala, Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and parts of the North Eastern region during the two days. The IMD said the conditions are favourable for the advance of the southwest monsoon over parts of the South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Andaman and Nicobar Islands today.
