The India Meteorological Department has forecast cold wave conditions over Telangana and Interior Karnataka for the next two days. Severe cold wave conditions are also expected tomorrow over North Interior Karnataka. IMD said that dense fog conditions are likely to prevail tomorrow over parts of Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Punjab and the north-eastern region.
The Met department has also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for tomorrow. According to the weather agency, northwest India will experience a gradual fall in minimum temperature by two degrees Celsius during the next two days.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the Severe + category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded at 465 as of 8 PM today.
