The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions over Punjab and Madhya Maharashtra today. It said moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will occur over parts of Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for today. The department predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty wind over Andhra Pradesh till tomorrow. The Weather agency said dense fog conditions are expected today in places over Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha. Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index of the region was recorded at 362 as of 12 PM today.
