IFFI 2025 Moves into Day 4 with Global Cinema, Talent, and ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal Competition

The 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IIFI) has moved into its fourth day today, showcasing a vibrant mix of cinema, talent, and global participation. 
 
 
IFFI 2025 has a special award, the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal. Instituted in collaboration with the International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication and UNESCO, the award honours outstanding cinema that promotes ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, namely, tolerance, inclusivity and social harmony, inspiring ethical reflection and unity. This year, Anupam Kher’s ‘Tanvi The Great is among the films competing for the prestigious honour.’ The film’s protagonist is Tanvi Raina, a young autistic woman, whose world is guided by kindness and music. 
 
The jury is chaired by eminent personalities from World Cinema, reinforcing the global stature of this meaningful award segment.

Day 4 at IFFI also sees Mr Kher taking the masterclass today in a session titled, ‘Giving Up is NOT a Choice’. Indeed, a day that is sure to leave you more hopeful and kind through the mesmerising art and magic of Cinema.
