The Indian Coast Guard and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad jointly intercepted a foreign fishing boat carrying 203 kilograms of a crystalline, drug-like substance. The ICG said it identified the suspect boat through a combination of human and technical surveillance. Upon noticing the approaching ICG ship, the suspect boat began fleeing towards the notional International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL).
The ICG further stated that upon boarding, the boat was found to be manned by two crew members of foreign nationality. The apprehended boat has been brought to Porbandar by the ICG ship for further investigation and chemical analysis of the substance.
