The Information and Broadcasting Ministry will release the Statistical Handbook on the Media and Entertainment Sector 2024-25 at WAVES 2025 in Mumbai tomorrow. The handbook is a part of the government’s affirmation of the need for timely, reliable, authentic and comprehensive data on the media and entertainment sector. The ministry said media and entertainment are an important component of the service sector, which has huge potential to contribute to the growth of the economy of the country. This sector is expected to grow at a seven per cent CAGR to reach three thousand billion rupees in 2027.
