A Microlite aircraft of the Air Force, while undertaking a routine sortie, from Air Force Station Bamrauli near Prayagraj, was safely force landed in an uninhabited area. The incident occurred at the pond, which is behind the KP College. The aircraft did not catch fire after the crash due to the water in the pond, and just before the crash, both pilots ejected and landed in the pond with their open parachutes. No damage happened to civil life or property, and both pilots on board are safe. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered by the IAF to ascertain the cause.
