Home Minister Amit Shah to Inaugurate India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai Today

 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 in Mumbai today. The five-day event, being organised by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in partnership with the Indian Ports Association, will showcase India’s vision for sustainable maritime growth, trade expansion, and blue economy development. The event will see participation of leaders from the maritime industry, policymakers, investors, innovators, and stakeholders from India and abroad.
 
 
India Maritime Week 2025 will feature exhibitions, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, highlighting opportunities in ports, shipping, logistics, and maritime technology. The event aims to strengthen India’s position as a global maritime hub and promote collaboration, innovation, and policy dialogue across the sector.
 
 
The IMW 2025 will be inaugurated by Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, who will be joined by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant and Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur are going to attend the IMW 2025 today.
 
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address a special plenary session on Wednesday.  After the India Maritime Week event, Union Minister Amit Shah will distribute the state-of-the-art Deep-Sea Fishing Vessels at Mazagon Dock in Mumbai. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister of State (Cooperation) Murlidhar Mohol will be present on the occasion.
