HM Amit Shah in Assam to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of development projects

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Dibrugarh last night on a two-day visit to Assam. During his visit, Mr Shah will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects in the districts.

Our Akashvani correspondent reports that the Home Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the second complex of the Assam Legislative Assembly, the MLA Hostel and the Institute of Wildlife Health and Research in Dibrugarh. He will also inaugurate the first phase of an ultra-modern stadium with a capacity of 35,000 in Dibrugarh and lay the foundation stone for its second phase.

The Union Home Minister will then travel to the neighbouring Dhemaji district to attend the 10th Mising Youth Festival. Later in the day, he will hold discussions with party members at the State BJP headquarters in Guwahati. He is scheduled to depart for West Bengal today at 7 p.m. after completing his engagements in Assam.
