Haryana Police has registered an FIR against a retired Director General of Punjab Police (DGP) Mohammad Mustafa, his wife, a former Minister in the Congress government, along with their daughter and daughter-in-law, in connection with the death of the DGP’s son, Aqil Akhtar. He reportedly died in Panchkula on the night of October 16.

 

 

According to the police officials, Aqil Akhtar was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Panchkula by his family members, following which the authorities were informed and an investigation was initiated.

Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shrishti Gupta, has said that a Special Investigation Team under an ACP rank officer has been constituted for a transparent and fair investigation in this matter.
