In Haryana, Show cause notices have been issued to 71 employees who did not attend the second rehearsal of polling officers including presiding officers selected for conducting polling in the Panchkula assembly constituency. Returning Officer said that these officers and employees were found absent in the rehearsal held on September 24. He said that strict action would be taken against the employees under the departmental and People’s Representation Act 1951 who do not respond to the notice.
