Sub-Committee on Graded Response Action Plan of the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas, CAQM, today revoked all actions under Stage-IV of the extant schedule of GRAP in the entire NCR with immediate effect, following significant improvement in air quality.
The Commission had invoked Stage-IV on the 13th of this month when the average AQI of Delhi sharply declined and breached the 450 mark.
The CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP today reviewed the current air quality scenario in the region as well as forecasts for meteorological conditions. It noted that the AQI of Delhi has shown significant improvement since last night and stood at 271 today, owing to favourable meteorological conditions, including high wind speed.
All actions under Stages III, II and I of the extant schedule of GRAP, however, remain in place.
