Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the government will introduce a bill against fake fertilisers and pesticides in the next session of Parliament. He expressed concern over the sale of fake fertilisers, pesticides and other unauthorised bio-stimulants disguised under misleading tags. Mr Chouhan said, strict laws will be enacted, and stringent actions will be taken against dishonest traders.

He was addressing ‘Chaudhary Charan Singh Kisan Samman Ceremony’ organised by Kisan Trust in New Delhi. According to Agriculture Minister, the government is taking comprehensive measures against such malpractices. Mr Chouhan said under the recently passed Viksit Bharat G Ram G law, guaranteed employment has been increased from 100 days to 125 days.
