The government has debunked a digitally altered video of Lt. Gen (Retd) KJS Dhillon being circulated on social media platforms by Pakistani propaganda accounts. In the video, Lt Gen Dhillon is seen claiming that Lt Gen VK Singh criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the Tejas crash at the Dubai Air Show. The Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau informed that Lt Gen (Retd) KJS Dhillon has not made any such statement and the circulated video created is AI-generated to spread misinformation and undermine trust in the Indian Armed Forces. The unit also provided a link of original video for verification. It urged people not to fall prey to AI-generated lies designed to sow distrust and division. The unit urged citizens not to forward such fake content and to always rely on official sources.
